Bathurst Vet Services extends a comprehensive mobile veterinary service to clients in Bathurst and the surrounding region, focusing on the care of equine, cattle, and small ruminant animals.

Dr Jack Holman, the driving force behind our practice, holds a special interest in equine medicine and racetrack work. His extensive experience with private, racing, and trotting clients across the Central West Region exemplifies his unwavering pursuit of the highest levels of veterinary care.

Graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Jack has spent the past five years as the primary large animal veterinarian for Mudgee Vet Hospital, servicing farms as well as thoroughbred studs and racing stables, and became a partner of  Mudgee Vet Hospital in 2020.

Growing up on a working beef property in the Bathurst region, Jack's deep roots in the region influence his connection with both the agricultural and equine communities. With a lifelong passion for horse-riding and a unique understanding of the challenges faced by large animal owners, Jack brings a level of empathy and insight to Bathurst Vet Services.  

 

Driven by a deep affection for the region, Jack realised his dream of returning to his hometown to establish a large animal veterinary service, and commenced offering a limited service to the Bathurst region in June 2022. The overwhelming positive response from the community has enabled the opening of Bathurst Vet Services, to offer a Monday-Friday large animal veterinary service and a dedicated emergency after-hours service.

 

As a family-oriented practice, Bathurst Vet Services is not just about meeting the needs of our clients; it's about building lasting relationships within the community. Jack, along with his young family, is excited to return to the region permanently.
